When Alessandra Gambaccini purchased her Greenwich Village townhouse in 1996, she wasn't intimidated by its unusual triangular shape. Rather she saw the opportunity to create a slice of Italy in New York City.
Ms. Gambaccini bought the home for $865,000, according to public records, and worked with Milan-based architect and decorator Roberto Gerosa, a friend, to renovate the house and outfit it with custom-made décor and furnishings imported from Italy.
