Those with a penchant for all things Italian won't want to miss the "Anthony D'Andrea Festa & Motori D'Italia" at Casa Belvedere: The Italian Cultural Foundation on Grymes Hill. The annual event returns Saturday, Sept. 22, and Sunday, Sept. 23. "It is a great honor that Casa Belvedere continues to recognize my father, Anthony D'Andrea, a great Italian American who dedicated his life to work, family and friends," says Mark D'Andrea. "I look forward to celebrating his life at Casa Belvedere for many years to come."
Casa Belvedere President/Founder Gina Biancardi says the Italian Cultural Foundation is "all about honoring and memorializing the legacy of those who came before us and left a footprint in our hearts. One such Staten Island hero is Anthony D'Andrea, lifelong Staten Islander and founder of the legendary Roadhouse Restaurant on Grymes Hill, family owned since 1971."
