The presentation of the first print issue of IlNewyorkese, the flagship newspaper for Italians in New York founded by Davide Ippolito, was held in New York at the Italian Cultural Institute. The event was introduced by Institute Director Professor Fabio Finotti and moderated by journalist Mattia Iovane, editorial director of Il Newyorkese.
The panel discussion included Michael Cascianelli - Head of school "The School of Italy," Don Luigi Portarulo - Our Lady of Pompeii, Umberto Mucci - "President of "We The Italians," Alex Carini - Real estate developer.
The goal of ilNewyorkese, it was stressed during the presentation, is to strengthen the feeling of community, a place where Italians in the Big Apple can find a strong spirit of belonging and new points of reference, while enthusiasts can discover new stories and sources of inspiration. The journal is available in print at Rizzoli's New York bookstore and at Barnes&Nobles bookstores and on Amazon, while it is always available online at www.ilNewyorkese.com
