Summer hasn't started yet, it's true, but some are already preparing for the winter vacations. ITA Airways has announced that during the upcoming winter season it will increase frequencies from Rome-Fiumicino to Miami: specifically, from October 31 from 7 it will increase to 9 weekly frequencies.
The two additional flights are scheduled on Thursdays and Saturdays: they will take off from Rome at 3:00 p.m. and land in Miami at 9:55 p.m. (local time); the return from Miami, on the other hand, is scheduled for 11:20 p.m. and the arrival in Rome is scheduled at 3:10 p.m. (local time). ITA, moreover, specifies that the two additional routes will be operated with the new Airbus A330neo aircraft.
The increase in frequencies to Miami underscores the importance of North America, the strategic market that ITA focuses on the most (after Italy); as of today, in fact, there are 8 direct connections that the Italian flag carrier operates to North America: Boston, Chicago, Los Angeles, Miami, New York, San Francisco, Toronto and Washington.
