Thursday, October 24th 4:30 pm - 7:30pm. The University of North Carolina at Charlotte, Bioinformatics Building, 9331 Robert D. Snyder Rd, Charlotte, NC 28223. Fourth Round Table - Italian Technology & Design Furniture. Presented by the Honorary Consul of Italy to North Carolina and CCI-NC. FREE - RSVP Now!
The Round Table series, organized by the Honorary Consul of Italy to North Carolina and sponsored by CCI-NC, provides the opportunity for professionals in technology and innovation to engage in a meaningful discussion about their industries. This year, the theme is Italian Technology and Design Furniture.
Through the participation of five successful companies with U.S. subsidiaries right here in North Carolina, we look forward to a lively discussion around Italian production in the U.S. and how high-end cabinetry and large furniture technology can be revolutionary; how luxury furniture can expertly combine style and function; how hinges and sliding systems can determine the true quality of a furniture piece; and how important fine finishes are to the final product.
Our distinguished panel includes: Mr. Giuseppe Bacci - Owner & CEO, Bacci America; Mr. Randy Jamison - Executive Vice President of Sales and Marketing, Biesse America; Mr. Massimo Di Russo - Managing Director, Cefla North America; Mr. Pasquale Junior Natuzzi - Brand Ambassador, Natuzzi Group; Mr. Shawn Pressley - Marketing Manager, Salice America. These companies represent just a small piece of the Italian technology currently being utilized here in North Carolina, helping to keep our state the furniture capital of the world. The panel will be moderated by Dr. Valentina Cecchi, Associate Professor in the Department of Electrical & Computer Engineering at UNC Charlotte. Dr. Claudio Carpano, Honorary Consul of Italy to North Carolina, will also join the panel to give a broader view of Italian investment in the state and how clusters make the industry stronger. We are also pleased to announce Hon. Pier Forlano, Consul General of Italy in Philadelphia, will be in attendance to give the welcoming remarks.
Integrating in the importance of art and culture, the opening reception will feature a short performance by Italian tenor Mr. Gianluca Sciarpelletti, who stars as MacDuff in Opera Carolina's upcoming production of Macbeth.
