Am I in Miami or Milan? That's what Dolce & Gabbana designers Domenico Dolce and Stefano Gabbana want you asking when visiting their new Miami flagship, the brand’s 18th freestanding store in the U.S. Located in the city’s burgeoning Design District, the 5,402-square-foot boutique pays homage to the designers' love for performing arts.
Designed by architect Gwenael Nicolas of Curiosity, the store takes styling cues from the 18th-century Teatro alla Scalla in Milan, one of the most famous opera houses in the world—and one of the designers' favorite places to visit. A complete 180 from Dolce & Gabbana's new graffitied New York concept store, the bi-level Miami outpost is brimming with cream-colored travertine and Veselve marble.
