Call for Abstracts

The organizing committee has the pleasure to announce the "9th Conference of Italian Research in the World" to be held in Houston on 12/14/2013. The conference is organized by the COMITES (Committee for Italians Abroad) and the Consulate General of Italy in Houston. We will convene between 8:30 AM and 6:00 PM at the Auditorium of the Consulate, 1330 Post Oak Boulevard, Houston TX. We invite all researchers working in the fields of Biomedical Science, Medicine, Physics, Engineering, Aerospace, Biostatistics, Energy, Earth Science and Humanistic Studies, whose activities are related to Italy either through their nationality, field of investigation (e.g. Italian history, literature, or any discipline linked to Italy) or their relationship with Italian institutions.

The conference is open to the general public, and will be held in English.
Those who are interested are invited to send a summary of their research and a brief biography no later than November 23rd, 2013 by e-mail at [email protected]. Abstracts, inclusive of research summary and biography, should be limited to one printed page not to exceed 500 words. All abstracts will be published in an on-line volume on the web sites of COMITES and Consulate.

Selected papers will be invited for an oral presentation. Because the conference is addressed to a general audience representing multiple disciplines, we recommend limiting oral presentations to topics of broader interest and easy comprehension, and that they do not exceed 10 slides. For further information please visit the website of the Italian Consulate (www.conshouston.esteri.it).

We look forward to a large participation, and wish to thank everybody in advance for his or her contribution.

Best Regards,
The Organizing Committee
