At first glance, the team of apron-clad students engrossed in discussing the nuances of imported Italian olive oil at Prospect High School resembled a local version of the Food Network's popular "Chopped Teen Tournament."
But for Prospect Italian teacher Lyn Scolaro's AP (advanced placement) Italian students, everyone's a winner, with the teens recently awarded a $100,000 grant from Verona, Italy-based olive oil company, Redoro, to help launch an international internship program researching and marketing the firm's products.
