Three local students will have some extra money in the bank for college this fall after a recent announcement. Last week, the Enrico Caruso Lodge #1463, the Visalia chapter of the Sons of Italy in America, announced two Exeter Union High School students will be receiving scholarships, including Kason Clark and Garrett Giovani for Andrew Rizzo.
Each year the Lodge gives out several scholarships to deserving high school seniors with Italian heritage who have graduated from Tulare County high schools. There were nine winners from this year were: Mt. Whitney High School, Scott Mendonca, Jessica Notarnicola for Ida Romanazzi and Miranda Martin for Adan Spano; Redwood High School, Jeff Webb, Emily Eslick for Pete Giotta and Katherine Bianco for Frank and Frances Cutler; Central Valley Christian High School, Michaela Salierno.
