The Pennsylvania Cyber Charter School, which serves students in kindergarten through grade 12, one of the largest, most experienced, and most successful online public schools in the nation is seeking a full time Virtual Classroom Teacher for Italian K-12. The position requires an initial 90 days on site in either of our Midland, Harrisburg or Philadelphia locations.

The Virtual Class Instructor provides instruction related to student performance in their certified content areas as well as coordinating remediation in their areas of expertise to insure student success. In addition, Virtual Class Instructors provide instruction with respect to life skills and time management so that each student has the opportunity to be successful in a cyber environment.

The Minimum Qualifications for this position are:
Bachelor's Degree
Valid current Pennsylvania teaching certification
Foreign Languages, Italian K-12 certificate
Job related experience
Child Abuse Clearance
Pennsylvania State Police Criminal Record Check
Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) Clearance
Act 168 Clearance

The position is expected to perform the following essential duties and responsibilities:
- Conduct live instruction as per the schedule assigned to them by their respective Director.
- Provide open tutoring as scheduled.
- Create lessons and power points and upload them.
- Grade assessments and post all grades in a timely fashion.
- Administer PSSA exams to students throughout the state of Pennsylvania.
- Attend department meetings and in-service days.
- Communicate with parents, students and other school staff on an as needed basis by returning emails, phone calls, completing progress reports, and attending to behavioral problems.
- Create and maintain Schoology pages, i.e. announcements, staff information, etc.
- Develop, maintain, and/or contribute to the curriculum maps.
- Generate and email progress reports quarterly to parents, students and Instructional Supervisors.

Perform any additional duties as deemed necessary by their respective Director
