In case you're unaware, Youngstown State University just dropped one of the most fundamental majors contributing to the education of our culture and heritage: Italian and Italian Education. I cannot begin to fathom that they would cut this when Youngstown was once thriving with 20-30,000 Italian immigrants in Briar Hill. Italians contributed to making Youngstown what it is.
Look at the DeBartolo family and the MAJOR contributions they have made to YSU. They even just renamed the Lincoln Building to the Cafaro Building. As an Italian major, I hold so much passion in my heritage, just as my fellow classmates. Cutting this these majors is like cutting our culture. I kindly ask that you sign this petition.
