Grab a brush and learn the technique used by artists of the Italian Renaissance, stepping back in time and right into art history.
The Housatonic Valley Art League is offering a lecture and weekend workshop, from Friday to Sunday, with Alma Ortolan, one of Italy's premier fesco restorers, conservators and educators. Ortolan, an Italian art conservator and educator, will be stopping by the Berkshires to discuss and teach the art of fresco painting -- a method of painting water-based pigments on freshly applied plaster, usually on wall surfaces.
