Pirandello Lyceum Announces I Migliori Award Recipients

The Pirandello Lyceum has announced the recipients of the 2025 I Migliori Awards – Mens et Gesta:The Best In Mind and Deed. This year will mark the 40th anniversary of the Pirandello Lyceum’s I Migliori Awards which recognizes outstanding Americans of Italian descent who have made important contributions to their profession, to society and to the Italian American community.

Boston Magazine has called the I Migliori Award the most prestigious honor a person of Italian American descent may receive. The 2025 Honorees are: Brigadier General Richard Cipro, Trooper Carlo Mastromattei, Author Marianne Leone, Dr. Joy Cavagnaro, Hon. Judge Peter DiGangi (Ret), Author Nino Ricci. 

The Honorees will receive the I Migliori Award at the Annual Awards Dinner, Saturday Afternoon, April 12 from 1:00 P.M. – 5:00 PM at Spinelli’s Banquet Hall in Peabody, MA. Special Guest: Professor Ivana Marroncelli of the Italian Consulate in Boston. The Master of Ceremonies will be Cheryl Fiandaca, the Chief Investigative Reporter for the I-Team at WBZ-TV. Fiandaca is an award-winning broadcast journalist who joined WBZ-TV from the former NB affiliate in Boston.

Family and friends of the Honorees are encouraged to attend. The dinner tickets are $ 100 per person. Proceeds from the event benefit the Pirandello Scholarship Fund.
