Buggin' Out: A Kid-Friendly Event with Children's Author & CCF Scholar Angela Carcione on Saturday, May 21

Apr 26, 2022 614

On Saturday, May 21, join author, educator, and past Columbus Citizens Foundation Scholar Angela Carcione for a special event at the Townhouse (8 East 69th Street, New York, NY 10021). Her recently released children's book Buggin' Out with Natalia Vedalia will be given as a gift to all participants under 14. We hope this will be the first of many new CCF family events. The event is open to all CCF families, and it is especially great for kids 6 and up.

We will meet at the Townhouse for check-in and refreshments. Then we will take advantage of being so close to Central Park for a guided nature walk. After our time in the Park, we will come back to the Townhouse, where Angela will read from her new book, followed by lunch in the Taverna. Our day ends with special activities and crafts in the Private Dining Room.

The event will also feature the participation of the book's illustrator, Annamarie Carcione, so all our guests will learn firsthand about creating a book that entertains and educates.

Space is limited so be sure to RSVP today and bring the young science, nature, and crafts enthusiasts to this unique CCF event! The cost is $18 per adult and $12 for children under 12.
