
The Italian American Women of Staten Island hosted its annual Scholarship Dinner at Patrizia's of Brooklyn in Eltingville last night. The 2016 recipient, Emily Cooke, is a graduate of St. Joseph Hill Academy and will be attending Steven's Institute in their engineering program. Antonella Colangeli and Michele Springer were the co-chairs at this event. Paula M. Caglianone gave greetings to the guests and presented a $4,000 scholarship to Emily Cooke.
In addition at the event, IAW gave the Garibaldi-Meucci Museum $1,500 to their "Mommy and Me, Italian Bilingual Steam Program" and $1,500 to the Huguenot Park Library to their "Learning to Speak Italian!" class.
