The Westchester County Board of Legislators said "congratulazioni" at a recent ceremony to Eastchester High School's Victoria Muriel for her dedication to Italian culture. The board of legislators teamed up with the Westchester Coalition of Italian American Organizations on Oct. 19 at the Legislative Chambers in White Plains to celebrate Muriel's achievements and accomplishments in the Italian language and culture.
Muriel, a junior studying AP Italian at Eastchester High School, took part in the IACE Summer Program and traveled to Italy for a two-week scholarship trip. In October she was granted the DeCicco and Sons Scholarship.
