The Consulate General of Italy in San Francisco is proud to launch the Third Annual Week of Italian Cuisine in the World. The 2018 edition, celebrated from November 12-17, will focus on the cuisine of Puglia with special menus and events throughout San Francisco and the Bay Area. After the success of our Tuscan week with butcher-extraordinaire Dario Cecchini in 2016, and our 2017 Sicilian week with Michelin-starred prodigy Accursio Craparo, this year's chef ambassador is Maria Cicorella, owner and chef of two-starred Ristorante Pasha in Conversano, Bari (Puglia).
She will collaborate with some of the most talented women chefs in the Bay Area to create contemporary, locally-sourced dishes, and hopes to accompany those dining on a culinary journey of Puglia. Below is a calendar of events. Additionally, several Italian restaurants vetted by the San Francisco chapter of the Accademia ltaliana della Cucina will feature dishes and ingredients from Puglia throughout the week.
