In a coup for the Inland Empire, an Italian couple has brought white-linen dining and classical cuisine from their homeland to Corona rather than to Orange County, as they'd originally planned. Alfredo Cali of Sicily and his wife, Donna Cali of Calabria, both 52 and married 27 years, opened Con Amore Ristorante (meaning "With Love"), on Jan. 2.
The 1,200-square-foot restaurant is at 2630 Tuscany Road, Suite 103 in the Crossings at Corona. Alfredo began his culinary training at 18 in Italy and continued in Switzerland. His specialties include handmade fresh mozzarella and goat cheese, Italian sausages, and custom cakes.
