Situated inside the ethnically complex McIntyre Square, just off 10 Freeay at Citrus Street (the freeway virtually exits into the mall), Vincenzo’s Terrazza Ristorante is the destination restaurant for grownups. Vincenzo’s shares the center with a branch of 85 Degrees C, the Dog Haus, Classic Burger, Gelatissimo, Sunrise Donuts and the wonderfully named Dia de Los Puercos — along with the ghosts of several Asian restaurants that have come and gone.
Vincenzo’s is the survivor, a restaurant that offers classic Italian cooking, in a casual setting that’s nice enough for special occasions. It’s a family-run restaurant, inspired by the late Vincenzo Carano of Tulipano fame, operated by his wife Kathleen and their sons Jonathan and Anthony, with chef Jesus Gutierrez in the kitchen.
