Italian chef and entrepreneur Enzo Rosano’s sixth Bay Area restaurant is in the works. His next one, Locanda Ischia — all of the names are followed by a destination — will be located in San Jose’s Willow Glen district, on the Lincoln Avenue restaurant row. Ischia, named for the island off Naples, will take over the space that Vin Santo occupied for years.
Rosano said this week that he’s planning a summertime opening. One of nine siblings, Rosano grew up cooking with his mother in a town just outside Naples. He attended culinary school, then worked in Italy and London before heading to California and getting into the restaurant business.
