After nearly a decade serving Larchmont, Vernetti Restaurant – owned and operated by local couple Steve and Joanna Vernetti – will be closing at the end of May. The Vernettis took over the family-owned Girasole Cucina Italia in 2014 and elevated the level of food on Larchmont Blvd.
In fact, when the Vernettis re-opened after a renovation and expansion of the space, EaterLA noted that “Larchmont Village is seriously on the up and up… It looks like Vernetti, the new concept taking over the 20-year old Girasole space, is well on its way to opening sometime next month, with a solid selection of Italian-American dishes.”
