As it did at other construction projects around New Jersey, the coronavirus pandemic delayed work at the old Pathmark store off Route 70, the future home of Corrado's Market. Now, Corrado's Market, a North Jersey speciality grocer, expects to open its new store at Laurel Square shopping center sometime in October, said Paul Corrado, the company's president.
"It definitely slowed us down construction wise," Corrado said. "We are coming out of that now. They're starting to work so it's good." About a year ago, Corrado announced that the third-generation family-owned grocery chain will open its first store in Ocean County. "
