I hope you have a sweet tooth. Our mailbag, and voice mail, was flooded with suggestions after a reader last week asked where to find good cannoli now that Serpe's Bakery in Elsmere is out of commission due to its Dec. 24 fire.
We received dozens of ideas in and around Delaware. Clara and Jack Rust of Newark swear by the pastries made by Soffrito Italian Grill in Newark. "I've even eaten them the next day and they were still crunchy," Clara Rust said.
