The La Familia Restaurant takes its name seriously. Not only does the restaurant pride itself on homemade fare in a welcoming place, but the business is family-owned and family members, with years of culinary expertise, can be found in the kitchen cooking up Italian and Portuguese favorites, creating desserts for the pastry case and in the dining room greeting customers.
Ever, Alex and Neto Amaya are owners of this third La Familia. Alex and Neto are brothers and Ever is their cousin. They also have restaurants in Taunton and Cumberland, R.I. The three recently took over the former Foundry restaurant near Five Corners. La Familia opened its doors in Easton at the beginning of September after a renovation of the space at 520 Foundry St. Ever’s wife, Deb, who works in the dining room, said the response has been very positive and the restaurant is already filling with reservations in advance of the weekends.
