The K-6 Lincoln School Home School Association's (HSA) first "A Day at the Piazza" event will feature a best meatball competition, kids cupcake wars and a multitude of activities and prizes from 3 p.m. to 8 p.m. on Saturday, April 18.
The idea for the event was thought up by fundraiser co-chairs, Nicole Greco-Peepas and Paula Sules, who felt the idea of a cook-off could be incorporated into a cultural festival. "We wanted something that would not only appeal to Lincoln School families, but to the entire community," Sules said.
