Italian food lovers take note: There are signs afoot —literally — that Rosemarino D'Italia will reopen its doors soon in Alexandria's Del Ray neighborhood. Rosemarino D'Italia's large sign out front notes: "We're Back! And you're invited. We believe in love at first bite!"
The restaurant closed July 28, 2021 at its Alexandria location, at 1905 Mount Vernon Ave., after serving up Italian cuisine there for eight years. The restaurant, like many eateries, suffered difficulties during the pandemic. The owners carried on at its second location in Dupont Circle in DC, at 1714 Connecticut Ave. NW.
