The word teglia means “roasting pan” in Italian. That’s the meaning behind the name of Teglia Pizza Bar, a new spot in Montclair serving rectangle-shaped pizza. They promise you’ll enjoy fresh, scratch Italian cooking and a crust that’s crisp and chewy, yet light in texture.
The 500-square-foot Teglia Pizza Bar comes with a strong pedigree. Co-owner Joseph Catalano has 30 years of experience as a chef and opening restaurants throughout NJ and NYC. “I grew up in West Orange and always admired the foodie part of Montclair,” Joseph says. He co-owns the spot with Angelo Goncaga, his best friend.
