Pastosa’s Italian Market, a cherished name among New Yorkers for generations, has been weaving the same culinary magic in New Jersey, where it caters to a growing community of New York City transplants. The evolution from a single store in Staten Island to a burgeoning chain in New Jersey is a testament to the timeless allure of Pastosa’s unique offerings.
Founded by Anthony Ajello in Staten Island over 50 years ago, Pastosa’s emerged as a neighborhood haven for authentic Italian goods. The store quickly became synonymous with quality, owing much of its reputation to a wide variety of fresh pasta, ravioli, and an array of Italian delicacies.
