Sally Giannetti, founder of Giannetti Artisans, brought a piece of Italy with her to the Chicago area last week. Giannetti held a food-tasting event at Pasta Fresh, 3418 N. Harlem Ave., on Dec. 3.

Giannetti's Italian roots run deep since both of her parents were born in Italy and immigrated to the United States. Giannetti said that she's the first person in her family to be born in the United States.
