Bobby's Deerfield is an American bistro with Italian influence

To answer what is no doubt your first question, no, Bobby Arifi, owner of Bobby's Deerfield, is not an obsessive Al Pacino fan who created a theme restaurant devoted to what widely is considered to be the Oscar-winner's worst film (the 1977 film "Bobby Deerfield," about a race car driver). "I haven't even seen the movie," Arifi admits.

Arifi, with his brother Augie, who serves as chef and business partner, opened Bobby's Deerfield three-and-a-half years ago in the space formerly occupied by the Red Star Tavern in the Deerfield Village Center at the intersection of Deerfield and Waukegan Roads.
