
Burgundies from producers including Domaine de la Romanee-Conti, Domaine Leflaive and Armand Rousseau are set to lead a Hart Davis Hart Wine Co. auction in Chicago after Italian wines featured in a Zachys New York sale.
Twelve bottles of Romanee-Conti 2009 wines from Burgundy's Cote de Nuits region carry a presale estimate of as much as $170,000 for the Chicago auction tomorrow, while six bottles of the same producer's 2008 vintage are priced to fetch as much as $65,000, according to Hart's website. At Zachys on May 9 a seven-bottle lot of Sassicaia '85 from Tuscany fetched $14,700.
