Have you ever stumbled upon a really great restaurant a little off the "beaten path?" Francesca's Italian Family Restaurant in Earlville is just that kind of hidden gem. With your first step inside, you are immediately transported from a small, farming community to a Sicilian trattoria.
Photos and artwork of Italy and Sicily, memorabilia, wine and grapevine decor surround you — and smells reminiscent of Sunday dinner at Grandma's (or Nonna's) resonate throughout. A life-size replica of a chubby Italian chef you imagine is named Luigi, complete with the tall, puffy Chef Boyardee-type hat, holds a chalkboard sign announcing the day's specials.
