The Italian American Veterans Museum will host Festival del Vino from 1 to 5 p.m. on Sunday, September 18, at Casa Italia in Stone Park, IL. A multifaceted celebration of Italian wine, the event is being held in cooperation with Binny’s Beverage Depot, Angelo Caputo’s Fresh Market and Onesti Entertainment.
The festival will offer the opportunity to sample a wide range of wines and liqueurs, develop a greater appreciation for Italian wines, purchase state-of-the-art winemaking equipment and supplies, and learn the basics of winemaking. Italian tunes will fill the air and hearty Italian fare will be served at no additional cost.
Attendees will be able to mark the wines they’d like to purchase on a checklist, which will be sent to the Binny’s nearest their homes for pickup and purchase.
Tickets to the event will be $45 if purchased by September 12 and $55 thereafter, and will cover a sampling glass emblazoned with the Festival del Vino logo. Net proceeds will benefit the Italian American Veterans Museum.
