The taste and sounds of Italy will fill the streets of downtown Akron. The Italian American Festival will open Thursday and run through Saturday. The festival put on by the Council of Italian American Societies of Summit County will feature entertainment and food vendors on Main Street between State and Church streets.
Admission is free to the festival that runs from 11 a.m. to 11 p.m. each day. The Italian American Festival in downtown Akron will feature three days of entertainment. There is parking in Akron's city parking decks. All city decks are $2 after 6 p.m. on Thursday. The city decks are free after 6 p.m. Friday through Sunday.
