I absolutely love sweets. I love Italian pastries even more. I am going to let you all in on my favorite Italian bakery in Illinois. The name of this bakery is Italian Bakery in Addison. I had moved from my hometown of Melrose Park to the Wood Dale/Addison area and needed a place close to home for Italian pastries. I remember growing up and I would always go to Claudio’s Bakery which was located in Elmwood Park.
I replaced Claudio’s with Rueter’s Bakery in Chicago for my cake needs, but as good as their cakes were they were lacking in the Italian pastries. They just did not have that authentic flavor. I then started to ask around for a local Italian Bakery in the area. I laughed when my friend told me to try Italian Bakery off of Lake Street in Addison.
