Osteria, the Italian restaurant concept from local restaurateur Marc Bianchini, will soon make its return to Milwaukee and could make its debut as early as March of 2018. After a roughly six-year hiatus, the dining spot revealed this past March that it would reopen in the first-floor space at the 330 Kilbourn building in downtown Milwaukee. Now Bianchini — who had long intended to bring the restaurant back — is eyeing a spring launch for the eatery.
"I didn't want to rush it," he said. "Osteria is my baby and I really wanted what I thought was the perfect spot for it."The restaurant will occupy the 5,000 square feet of retail space at 330 E. Kilbourn Ave. that was home to a slew of other eateries. Its central location and downtown proximity is what drew Bianchini to the 330 Kilbourn space.
