A popular restaurant in downtown Brighton (MI) is reinventing itself with a new menu, name and look. Owners of the restaurant at 510 W. Main Street, which had been called Buon Gusto Italian, closed it for remodeling Feb. 18. When it reopens 11 a.m. Thursday it will have a slightly different name, Buon Gusto Bistro, and the decor throughout the restaurant is being redone to match the look of a 625-square foot bar that was added to the building last year.
"We're launching a whole new concept," general manager and mixologist Heather McCoy-Smith said. Before the revamp got underway, the restaurant was strictly Italian-inspired. That will change after the restaurant reopens. "We're going bistro, which traditionally covers all sorts of food from all over the globe," McCoy-Smith said.
