Scalzo offers Tuscan cuisine in ease and elegance

When Giuseppe "Joe" Scalzo talks about Ciao Bella, his Tuscan-inspired restaurant, his passion for creating soul-satisfying dishes comes through. The Calabria, Italy-born Scalzo discovered that passion for cooking while working at a small restaurant in Florence, Italy—and then brought it to the U.S.

After studying international business at Loyola College in Chicago, Scalzo was more than ready to successfully take the helm at two Chicago restaurants. Next, it was time to bring the flavors of fine Italian cuisine to northwest Indiana.
