The highly anticipated opening of Wisconsin's first Portillo's restaurant is set for Tuesday at 10:30 a.m. The diner-themed restaurant, 17685 W. Blue Mound Road in Brookfield, closes at 10:30 p.m. Nick Scarpino, spokesman for the Chicago-based restaurant chain, said a few customers camped out overnight before Portillo's opened its first Florida location this year.

"But what we usually see is that we have a long line just before we open our doors and it builds throughout the day," Scarpino said. "But as (founder) Dick Portillo would say, 'Long lines don't impress us. Long lines that move fast impress us.'" The Brookfield restaurant will be Portillo's 44th location. Among menu items Portillo's is best known for: Italian beef, Chicago-style hotdogs and chocolate cake.
