Vinitaly debuts in the U.S., which is and remains the top market for Italian wine. It will be Chicago that will hold this debut, October 22-23, 2023 at the city's CineCity Studios, with the partnership between Vinitaly and the International Wine Expo of Chicago. It is a project created to organize a prestigious business-to-business event between Italian wine companies and major operators in the U.S., with the direction, among others, of the Italian American Chamber of Commerce of Chicago.

The ambition is to make this the "most important event for the promotion of Italian wine in the U.S., an unmissable stop for Italian wine production companies, both to penetrate the U.S. market for the first time and to strengthen and expand it if already present."
