The image of a red tomato splotch that practically screams "Splat!" is the perfect logo for a restaurant named Red Gravy. While the ruby-colored stuff may be its namesake, it isn't the glue that holds all the dishes together. Two offerings that showered me with Italian amore were not covered in the signature red sauce.
I am enamored with the butternut tortelloni ($13). This is the one dish with house-made pasta, although our server explained plans are underway to offer more. The difference between fresh and dry pasta is similar to the distinction between a Ferrari and school bus; there's no comparison.
