Sabatino’s Italian Ristorante located in downtown Rapid City is owned by Alessio Sabatino and Jimena Scarfone. Alessio is from Rome, Jimena from northeast Italy, and they moved to Rapid City two years ago and opened the restaurant that features authentic Italian cuisine.
“We are proud to make everything fresh in the restaurant,” Alessio said. “The proudest quality is what’s the most important for us: Italian. We are trying to bring the Italian culture here in South Dakota with our cuisine. It’s a combination of all parts of Italy, south to the middle to the north. And we make our own dressing. We make our bread, we make our desserts, we make some of our pastas. And so we try to be really unique and special to bring a culinary experience to South Dakotans.”
