Sugo offers fine Italian dining with affordable prices, casual atmosphere

A new mobile food experience has joined the Grand Island market. Leslie Collins of Grand Island is the owner of Sugo Italian Kitchen at 222 W. Stolley Park Road. Collins started Sugo in March. Her mobile kitchen was located at various spots in town, and she has catered different events. Earlier this month she opened her West Stolley Park location.
Collins worked for Riverside Golf Club for 12 years, six as the assistant executive chef, but “I always wanted to do my own thing,” she said. “Most chefs want to run their own restaurant.” She started saving her money about four years ago to realize her dream. She decided on a mobile kitchen because it was a less expensive alternative. Collins and her husband looked at various brick-and mortar-locations around town but decided the mobile kitchen “was the way to go.”
