Eataly is inaugurating its first major location in Northern Europe, in Copenhagen, as well as its fourth site in the U.S., in Boston. Everything's ready for Nov. 17, the day of the ribbon cutting at the 2,000 square-meter Copenhagen location at the Illum shopping center in the heart of the Danish capital. The Boston store will open by Christmas. These two steps are big ones in the international expansion of Italy's first retail and restaurant chain, a unique model for our nation.

The schedule of Oscar Farinetti, Eataly's founder, is full as new locations are planned in Trieste (in the former wine warehouse, Riva Nazario), Paris, London, Los Angeles, Los Vegas, Toronto, Stockholm, Brussels, Johannesburg and Moscow. Franchises are planned for Modena, Riyadh and Doha (in the Doha Festival City shopping center). The goal is to pass from 400 million (in revenue?) anticipated in 2016 to 600 million in 2019.
