Famed Florentine sandwich shop All’Antico Vinaio has amassed a cult following since making its Manhattan debut in 2021, and now we too can enjoy its delightful Italian delicacies. An outpost recently opened at Hudson Eats at Brookfield Place (225 Liberty St.), blessing Lower Manhattanites with what Saveur magazine once dubbed “the world’s best sandwiches.”
Lunchtime has never looked so good. We stopped by last week to sample some of the goods, and are happy to report All’Antico Vinaio lives up to the hype. The La Dante is a hefty combo of capocollo, stracchino, truffle cream and arugula on delicious fresh focaccia sprinkled with sea salt, and though it runs a steep $20, the sammie is big enough to split between two meals.
