Antico Noè Panini From Florence Now Sold in New York

The logo and the name of the panini shop Antico Noè, off Piazza San Pier Maggiore in Florence, Italy, came from an old mirror on the wall. It advertised an Italian vermouth, Antico Noè.

Michael Grant and Vinny Dautaj, who lived in Florence and became devotees of the 71-year-old shop, have opened a New York branch with the blessing of the original's owners. They offer 10 of the shop's 25 panini, made on sub-style breads, white and seven grain, pressed and crisped in a press.
