In Italian the word “borgo” means “village” and that is exactly what Andrew Tarlow and his team are aiming to create with Borgo at 124 East 27th Street. Borgo is under the umbrella of The Marlow Collective which has historically only dabbled with Brooklyn-based restaurants.
A feature article in Grub Street notes that Borgo is a 9,000 square-foot space at the intersection of NoMad, Flatiron and Gramercy. There is seating for up to 140 guests inside. A graphic of a hilltop on Sicily featured on Borgo’s website and on the menu is by Drew Heffron.
