Two Smorgasburg vendors are setting up shop, side by side, on East Houston Street. Last week saw the arrival of Wowfulls, the snack shop specializing in, you guessed it, waffles. This week comes word that fellow Instagram-ready cohort, Tramezzini, is up next. No, not Trapizzino, which just debuted on Orchard Street last month.
A tiny sign above the gate at 309 East Houston indicate this to be the new location for Tramezzini. The company currently peddles its menu of “Authentic Venetian sandwiches with fresh imported olive oil bread from Venice-Italy” in the Brooklyn food festival circuit. The forthcoming location at East Houston is the first standalone brick-and-mortar for the operation.
