Brookline Village just got another coffee shop. With Starbucks and Dunkin' Donuts on one side and KooKoo and Middle Gray on the other, a London-based, family-owned chain of coffee houses just landed in Brookline Village in a storefront that has sat empty for the past few months.

Visitors were treated to a free cup of coffee and a coupon Monday as a way to encourage them to come back and visit the chain, known for exposed brick walls and cozy atmosphere. "So far, so good," said area director Jason Souza of the coffee shop's soft opening in Brookline Village, across from Clover Food Lab.
