Fabio's: Bringing 'grandma's' Italian cooking to Syracuse (and the suburbs)

Fabio Santalucia learned to cook from both of his grandmothers in the Italian region of Abruzzo. He later served food "inspired by grandmother's teachings" for 14 years at his restaurant in Cortland.

Now Santalucia has opened Fabio's La Buona Cucina inside the Clarion Hotel in Geddes, and has his sights set on a fine-dining location in downtown Syracuse. That spot, to be called Fabio's Antica Cucina, is scheduled to open in January on the ground level of the Icon Tower (the former Excellus Blue Cross Blue Shield building) on South Warren Street.
